Distributed flood storage for Fishermans Bend
The IWM Infrastructure Plan provides the analysis for achieving IWM objectives across Lorimer and Employment Precincts.
Specifically, it identifies:
- Suitable location and typical sizes for open space and streetscape WSUD responses.
- The core infrastructure elements of the strategy and the benefits each element provides against defined objective.
This analysis proposes an approach to meet the flood storage volumes required in Fishermans Bend, while aligning to the strategic directions and objectives in the Fishermans Bend Water Sensitive Strategy and based on the modelling on the Water Sensitive Drainage and Flood Strategy.
City of Melbourne is using this analysis to explore options for infrastructure design in Fishermans Bend.
